Representative Scott DesJarlais (TN-04) released the following statement on the death of terrorist leader Osama bin Laden:

“Last night, we achieved a significant victory against global terrorism and further strengthened the security of our nation. I’m incredibly proud of the brave men and women of our military and intelligence services who put their lives on the line to defend us from evil, and whose hard work ultimately led to the success of this mission. During this time, we should also take a moment to remember the lives that were lost on September 11th as well as those in uniform who made the ultimate sacrifice, and once again offer our prayers to their families. While nothing will bring back their loved ones, I hope they can take some solace in the fact that Osama bin Laden has been brought to justice. May God Bless America.”
