The Mobile VA Mental Health Screening Bus will be in Roane County on Monday, August 6th, in order to give area veterans access to mental health screenings. Representative Scott DesJarlais (TN-04) requested the Mobile VA Mental Health Screening Bus after news that the current VA clinic in Rockwood would be closing due to staffing issues.

“Our nation owes an immeasurable debt of gratitude to the brave men and women who have worn the uniform of the United States military,” said Rep. DesJarlais. “We must make every effort to ensure that our veterans have the resources that they need to heal from the physical and mental wounds of battle. I hope that the mobile mental health screening bus will serve as an adequate replacement until we can find a more permanent solution.”

The Mobile Clinic will be parked in front of the Rockwood City Hall Building (110 North Chamberlain Avenue) on August 6th from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. EST.
