A new chapter: Now library work starts

There has actually been heavy earth-moving equipment at the site for a couple of weeks now, but for ceremonial purposes, ground was broken Tuesday for a new library to serve Bedford County… Susan Derryberry introduced Richard Vaughn, chief of staff for U.S. Rep. Scott DesJarlais, saying that DesJarlais' help was essential in cutting through red tape and getting to getting the federal government to allow the sale of the current library building -- a former post office -- once the new one is complete.
