How may I help you?

I’m pleased to announce that my district offices in Columbia and Crossville are now officially open.  These two new additions give me a total of three offices – two in Tennessee and one in Washington, DC.  I’d like to take a quick moment to explain the different ways that each of my offices can assist you.

My Washington, DC office is primarily focused on legislative matters.  My DC staff assists me in researching and drafting legislation that may be voted on by the House of Representatives. Additionally, my staff is available to listen to constituents’ concerns on legislative issues, which they will then communicate to me. Letting me know how you feel about specific pieces of legislation is incredibly important to the democratic process and helps me to make informed decisions that best reflect the opinions of my constituents. You can either call or email my office to express your opinion on legislative matters. We appreciate your feedback.

Also, if you are traveling to Washington, DC my staff would be glad to help set up a tour of the Capitol building and/or request a tour of the White House.  Keep in mind that while Capitol tours are generally easy to arrange and can be done on short notice, White House tours require much more advanced notice (I recommend that you make these requests six weeks in advance).  My DC staff can also help handle requests for flags to be flown over the Capitol building, and can provide information about internships and the Page program in Washington.

My district staff is available to assist you with any issues or problems you are having that relate directly to federal programs or agencies. This includes issues with social security, disability, Medicare, passports, and veterans’ benefits, among others. Additionally, my district offices can assist constituents seeking a Congressional Nomination to any of our five military academies, as well as help in processing grant requests.

I hope that you found this posting useful. Please contact any of my three offices at any time to receive more information on the services provided for constituents.
