REP. SCOTT DESJARLAIS DENOUNCES IMPEACHMENT EFFORT AS FAR-LEFT ATTACK ON CONSTITUTION AND ELECTIONS
VOTES AGAINST HOUSE RESOLUTION TO CONTINUE SECRET, PARTISAN INQUIRY
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Scott DesJarlais, M.D., voted against House Democrats’ resolution to protect the secret, partisan impeachment inquiry Nancy Pelosi is pursuing to distract from her party’s socialist agenda, weak presidential candidates, and a federal investigation of Obama Administration corruption. Tennessee’s Fourth District representative issued the following statement:
“The story is the same as it has been since Donald Trump beat Hillary Clinton fair and square. Sore losers in Congress have been desperate to change the result. They already tried the Russia Hoax. Now it appears Democrats’ leading 2020 candidate, just like Hillary Clinton at the State Department, abused his position in the Obama Administration, and Nancy Pelosi is on the defensive. Americans’ dislike for the Green New Deal, Medicare for All and open borders, a socialist agenda that would be disastrous for the United States, has forced her to pursue impeachment of the President, working to Drain the Swamp and Make America Great Again. Together, we’re improving the economy and national security, and we’re going to defeat another far-left attack on the Constitution and election results.”
